A young man requested information on how he can donate a kidney in forum called Kidney Transplant Donors and Recipients on Facebook. Without looking into his background, I automatically provided a public link to the National Kidney Foundation's website.
'In the beginning' offers resources for those affected by organ transplants (donors, recipients, families, friends). Resources range from children's literature to medical reviews and include support networks. We wish to honor both living and cadaver donors and their families. This site also exists to share updates, reviews, and other stories regaling the medical community's efforts toward life-extending protocols.

This is the post I put on facebook for him, at his request: In one of the posts below, we have someone who is OFFERING TO DONATE A KIDNEY: Iyke Walter asks: How do i donate my kidney to save a life imbox me @ walter.iyke@yahoo.com or call+2348034977727. I messaged him and he asked me to repost, saying God told him since he has two, he should share with someone who needs it. Iyke Walter is his name/facebook account page. If you know someone who needs a kidney, they may want to look into this. It looks like he is in Nigeria, though, so a lot of legwork would need to be accomplished. Good luck!
ReplyDeletePlease keep in mind that I do not know this person at all - for all I know he may just be wanting a ticket into the United States. We chatted for a few minutes on Facebook and he does seem willing to provide a kidney and realize that he will not be getting paid for it.
